Random Pictures :)

Okay it has been forever since i have updated this blog and i sincerely apologize, ive been epiclly busy but all is well :) It is a good busy. Ive been spending lots of fun time with the kids and i have been fortunate to get really into the YSA here and have made tons of fabulous friends. I just wanted to put some pictures up from the last few weeks. enjoy :)

Ashton Paul and I playing with my disney figures. He especially loves Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, he has to find them first whenever we get the bag out.

So it has rained everyday that ive been here so far, and its a bit frustraiting with the kids because it would be really nice to play outside! So Kylee my fabulous friend and co-nanny when we have all the kids, found trash bags and we covered everyone up and went outside to paint. We set out the tarps down on the wet grass and finger painted pictures. This is our trashbag family picture :)

This is Anika, Camryn and Brookie waving to the camera all ready for painting. I dont have any actual pictures of the painting process due to the messiness of the task :) But we had so much fun.

Kylee and i had an interesting time fitting into our trashbags and they ended up looking like a fashion statement. I cut my arm hole a bit high on one side and looked a bit seductive... :) we are laughing so hard because i had put the camera on timer and then ran to get in the picture and totally slipped on my way.

So there has been a rumor going around that i have green hair... id like to put that to rest, yes i do. Its from being in the chlorine (cant spell) but i have fully excepted my green alge hair :) and so has Dionne, this is her fabulous creation.

Brooklyn just turned 2! for her Birthday Dez and Lincoln made this amazing party where they covered the walls of their house in paper and melted crayons together to make swirl crayons and it was soo fun. Kylee and i were in charge of the cake and cupcakes. Since Brookie is really into drawing we made a crayon cake. Isnt it incredible!

These are the cupcakes, we made a ton of them and they were delicious!

Dez was so sweet and made these little labels for the cake and cupcakes. If you cant read it is says Cupcakes made by Allie and Kylee

And since i handt had my fill of baking from the cakes Jay-Leigh, Chantel and I got together and baked some cookies. It worked out that they made amazing cookies and i burnt them... haha but they are teaching me to be a better baker. I have been sooo blessed to get to know these amazing people here and they are all soo kind to me and i know ive made life long friends already.
So in the interest of having this be a full account of my adventures in Auckland I have some news. I am dating a really awesome guy. We have been going out for a week or two now. His name is Kyron and hes rather perfect. Its pretty fun because our dads served their missions together so its kind of funny to think about. I dont have any pictures of the two of us but i'll put them up when i do :)
I miss and love you all!

Hamilton Temple Trip

So last Saturday (your Friday) we all went down to Hamilton for our stake temple day. It was amazing! On the way down I just put my ipod on and watched the green hills for two hours, it was soo beautiful! there were a million sheep and cows and lakes it was rather glorious and it was fun to mix my music from home with the amazing scenery. When we got down to the temple Ashton and I had a fun little date while waiting for everyone. We had a few fun adventures. First just discovering the temple grounds! Not only is there a visitors center and a distribution center but there are apartments and playgrounds and things for people who travel long distances to attend the temple. Its incredible! So Ashton and I had some fun long walks discovering things. We found a fun playground and I was excited to put him in the swings only to find some odd teenagers making-out in them! So we played on the slide instead until the guy pulled out a guitar and started serenading her and then we were out of there. It turned out to be good timing because then there was a rather intense spell of wind for a while so we played in the car. It took me about 20 minutes to change Ashtons diaper because he loves to twist and riggle, but once we had cleaned up it was fun to walk to the top and see the temple doors. We watched as a wedding party took pictures and Ashton enjoyed eating my hair while I took pictures of the temple :)
I was also introduced to a temple tradition. On the way back from Hamilton there is an ice cream shop that apparently has the best ice cream ever. Its called Pokonos and they offer a seven scoop cone! So we stopped there and enjoyed some fabulously creamy ice cream. I was a wimp and only got one scoop but the ice cream is soooo creamy i cant handle it! I'll man up one day :) haha It was a fabulous day at the temple :) Hope you enjoy the pictures! I dont look great but I was just in the cold wind for a few hours mind you. I love and miss you all! :) xoxo

Carly and Ashton setting up the new trampoline! Im so sleeping on it in the summer :)

So today was just so epically amazing that I felt the need to blog about it. So it started out with Anika coming in and waking me up and then yelling "ALICE IS AWAKE!" haha. After toast on the run we made it to the Polkadots Concert at a near by primary school. The Polkadots have a concert every week day so the kids get a little sad that they have to stay behind so today we dropped Delta at kindy (kindergarden) and we took Anika, Brooklyn, Ellie and Ashton to the show and we sat in the back and danced. After the show Dionne and Desiree had to go do some recording in the town of Devonport. So after Ashton went home with Carly and Ellie slept in the pram with Dionne I took Brooklyn and Anika for the afternoon. We had the best time! Our first destination was McDonalds where we got some chicken nuggets and chips, thats what we call fries here :) With our food we drove to the beautiful beachside playground. We ate our lunch on the shore and went for a walk out on a walkway into the ocean. We played on the playground and we went on the swings. After hearing "higher!" multiple times I taught the girls to say hiya! like they were doing karate and we had a great time being ninjas on the swings. After we had our fill of the beautiful sunny day we went into the near by library where we read stories and did puzzles until we got the call to come back. Once back at home the Polkadot moms were emailed the new versions of their songs so on our way down stairs to Desirees house to have a dance party we saw an injured bird. As you all know I am heartless and am soo not an animal person but the girls, being young and Christlike really wanted to help it so we put a hold on the dance party and called the vet and learned that the bird had hypothermia and needed to be warmed. So the girls found a shoe box and put a towel in it with bread and water and Dionne retreived the bird from the bushes where it was hidding. You can see all the action in my very eventful video. :) haha. After the bird was safe and warm we went down stairs and had our dance party. It was a blast! We just danced around and around in the lounge (family or living room). It was just a fabulous and fun filled day. I am just falling in love with these kids. Ashton is my boyfriend. Enough said :) haha I often steal cuddles from him and just love getting him to smile. Anika has this funny was of teasing me, I will complement her on something like, "Oh thats pretty Anika." and she says, "Its not pretty" At first I thought she was being resistant to the idea of me staying rather than just visiting but I have come to find she is just teasing me. I kind of like it now haha She gives the best cuddles and has told me multiple times today that she loves me :) As i was climbing over seats to buckle the girls in today I jokingly said "You girls better know how much I love you." and Anika looks up at me and says "We love you too". Brooklyn is adorable and always sharing and only cries when i have to put her down for a nap. But ive learned that if I sit in the room shes fine and will fall asleep. She just hates being alone and missing the action. Delta is so grown-up and hilarious. She often just comes and plops herslef in my lap. She always has a plan and often says i just need a cuddle and she randomly pulls out "I love you's" as well which just melts me. Today she was gone at kindy and then had a play date with a friend and when she got home I told her that I missed her and she said, "me too" and cuddled me real tight. I feel like im her big sister which is a role ive always wanted to have. Ellie is a mummies girl and often has fun with me for a minute and then realizes that mom isnt there and gets upset but I love rocking her to sleep in my arms, which incidently is giving me sweet arm muscles! Camryn and Caydence live up north and so they are not down all the time but I love them as well. They are very artistic and smart and they are very fun. I am just loving my time here! Last weekend was a stake YSA conference and I went to a dance and met tons of fun people and did a bunch of activites and often didnt make it home until 3am and had to be up watching kids at 8 which im not okay with but im enjoying :) I have also got a group of people together and we are all saving up to bungy jump off the harbor bridge :) I miss you all and wish I could write more but I hope you enjoy the pictures and videos :)
